Objectives of Membership

Membership aims to:

Expand civil representation in education, popular education, adult learning, citizenship education, human rights, and peacebuilding

Strengthen joint action among the three units

Ensure coordination and complementarity at national and regional levels

Ensure quality and adherence to the Network's values and principles

Unify the Arab educational and rights-based voice of the Network

Types of Membership

Membership is divided into two complementary categories.

Target Organizations: Non-profit associations working in education, citizenship, social justice, development, or producing community-based educational programs.

Category 01

Lebanese Educational Coalition — Antelaaf Tarbawy Lubnani

Rights

Participation in curriculum development, intellectual forums, knowledge production, and regional committees

Obligations

Engagement in research, adherence to Network policies, documentation of experiences

Category 02

Popular Education Unit

Rights

Participation in Arab programs, candidacy for Network bodies, access to training, grants, and joint initiatives

Obligations

Adherence to the Network charter, participation in evaluations and meetings, adoption of internal policies
Membership Benefits

Membership in the Network offers individual organizations a set of benefits designed to enhance their institutional capacity and collective influence, as a member of the regional Arab Campaign for Education for All (ACEA) and the global Global Campaign for Education (GCE), and the Non-Governmental Organizations collective (CCNGO). The Arab House for Adult Education and Development (AHAED) provides its members access to a broader international advocacy platform. This includes participation in Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) and opportunities to contribute to regional reports for international conferences. Benefits for members include the following:

Networking and Collaboration

Facilitating links between local organizations, international NGOs, and regional networks.

Capacity Building

Targeted training on gender-responsive policy, inclusion, and the use of technology in education.

Information Resources

Access to an "Electronic Library," research reports, and technical policy briefs on the status of education in Lebanon.

Advocacy Voice

The opportunity to influence national education strategy and participate in structured dialogue with the Ministry of Education.
